![]() ![]() The final piece of the puzzle may be the most important. I think having number buttons and some basic hard key functionality is probably better then having complete touch. Seem to have exactly the same functionality with the main difference being that the 1100 is completely touch screen versus the 1 which is more like a remote. ![]() ![]() I'm ordering a Logitech Harmony 1 today (which, incidentally, I can't figure out why I would spend $100 more on the 1100 versus the 1. I then have the Wii, Apple TV and cable box going straight to the Yamaha (which works out well because none of those devices support 1080p, so it doesn't really matter that they are passing through a receiver that supports up to 1080i). Anyway, given the lack of HDMI ports, right now I have the Blu-Ray going straight to the TV to take advantage of the full 1080p and then I use the other HDMI port on the TV to go straight to the Receiver (which maxes out at 1080i). I also wannted a 50", but it wouldn't fit in the popup unit and I really wanted to conceal the TV when not in use. I have a Yamaha RX-V2600, a Panasonic 42" 1080p TV (TH-42PZ700U), a new Sony Blu-Ray, an Apple TV and a Wii, so I should get some speakers to do it all justice.ĭespite CNet's review (in 2007) that my TV was the best 42" plasma they ever tested, it does lack a 3rd HDMI port, which kind of sucks. I'm of course at work, so can't tell you the exact dimensions, but I would guess maybe something like 25x15 or something. ![]()
